Project SELF Improvement Poster Contest Winners Announced
Winners of the Project SELF Improvement poster contest were announced at the Strengthening The Black Family 23rd Annual Conference held Saturday September 13, 2003 at Carnage Middle School . Contestants were asked to submit entries related to the goals of Project SELF Improvement. Fifty-four posters related to physical activity, nutrition and tobacco use avoidance and cessation were submitted by forty-nine entrants.
Contest winners were
High School
- 1 st place Shaneall Satterwhite
- 2 nd place Willisa Covington
Middle School
- 1 st place Akim Allen.
- 2 nd place Taja Gardner.
- 3 rd place Aisha Harrington and Aliyah Hickson.
Elementary School
- 1 st place Kareem Williams.
- 2 nd Bobbie Holmes.
- 3 rd Kamesha Evans.
